Many have seen the video below on ESPN. I actually think two of the worst acts were the studs up lunge – if that had connected good chance of a broken leg and the punch in the face after. In some ways I can see the ref not seeing the off the ball hair pull and punch in the back, but the other two offenses involved the ball and there is no reason why the ref shouldn’t have seen them. But at the very least no one can say soccer is a sport for wimps.
